The Skin We Keep

This thesis asks what happens when we stop seeing heritage as something a city simply inherits and begin to see it as the skin it chooses to keep. Focusing on the cities of Bergamo and Naples, the thesis explores how memories are carried through the visible and hidden fabric of urban life – built, repaired, lived and ethereal.
