Master of Interior Architecture Welcome to MORE 2026

The MA Interior Architecture at the University of Westminster promotes a speculative approach to spatial design that is rooted in theory and the world of ideas. Those ideas are deployed to confront contemporary questions and challenges.

Our Master’s course within the School of Architecture + Cities offers students the opportunity to develop their own pathway. With a special focus on people and place, the course encourages students to develop a deep sympathy for the needs and aspirations of the users of a space, as well as a sensitivity towards (and response to) physical and social contexts.

What our students have done this year is both respond to the demands of site as well as offering new and surprising interpretations of the physical and social contexts to be found in central London.

After progressing through study modules focusing on research skills, theory and technical studies, our students embark on their own major Thesis Project. This year, we presented our students with a choice: either the creative re-imagining of a former department store on Oxford Street; or a site of their own choosing within the Marylebone neighbourhood to which students respond to the ‘voice’ of that site.

The results are extraordinarily diverse and ambitious, including: a critique of fashion and over-consumption; the creation of a vertical garden; an investigation into a lost church; the restitution of museum objects; and the exploration of site and image.

We strive for a rich, mature synthesis of learning; a process that aims to prepare students academically, professionally and personally for the challenges of a complex world.
