TRANSIT-PROXIMITY REDEVELOPMENT BEYOND DENSITY: Regeneration of the Slough Station Quarter

This dissertation examines Slough’s station quarter, where high transit connectivity coexists with weak urban performance. Using Bertolini’s node-place model across density, land use, morphology and placemaking, it compares Slough with Reading and Arnhem Centraal to expose an urban centrality gap, and proposes a design framework to improve urban centrality.
