Reimagining the Diyarbakır City Walls

Inspired by the courtyard typology of traditional Diyarbakır houses, this design proposal considers how Diyarbakır’s City Walls can be activated through new spatial relationships between the walls, housing and public life to strengthen social interaction, and restore continuity between the past and the present.
