What risk does flooding pose to heritage sites and how can flooding be mitigated?
This dissertation examines how heritage sites can be protected and maintained in the face of increasing flood risk. Focusing on the River Cam, it draws on precedent studies and engagement with charitable organisations involved in the river’s environmental and sustainable management to develop a coherent Flood Action Plan. The research considers the effects of climate change and flooding on historic buildings, their occupants and surrounding communities.
