Beyond Devastated: Building a resiliant city in Sinjar
Wars devastate collective memories and spaces. The aim of this design-led thesis is to cultivate possibilities for the post-conflict city of Sinjar to become a city of resistance. The proposal is to create new narratives of hope from the ruins; to create collective spaces, rebuilt by Yazidi and the citizens of Sinjar, which can mark a new beginning and protect their past heritage.
